After programming and operating computers for Dun and Bradstreet, Joe went into private business including a liquor store, restaurant and nightclub. A close friendship with two of Brooklyn,s most successful brokers, Sal and Mike Calabrese implanted the seeds of the business and the lure of real estate took hold.
